So along with this award come duties...I have to share three new things about myself, and then nominate five other bloggers, that I really 'dig'! So let's get this party started!
Ok...three things new to share about myself....
1. I've flown small Piper airplanes while living in Connecticut. Crazy, huh? And so much fun! It was the summer after my mother died, and I was missing her so much, that I just needed to do something to help the ache in my heart. A friend in my town, was a pilot, and he was always asking me to come fly with him. I was ready to try something so completely new and exciting. The rush of taking off and landing were amazing. My favorite flight was flying into Block Island on a dirt runway, right near the beach. Feeling like a celebrity with my shades on, popping out of the airplane, and hanging out on the beach for a relaxing few hours. Then enjoying a nice island dinner, then hopping back into the plane and flying home. Those days were just what the doctor ordered, and I'll never forget them!
2. Not nearly as exciting as flying...but fun, are my Zumba fitness classes! I started taking them last spring, and have not stopped. It's like a dance party, you don't even know you're exercising because you're having so much fun! The girls and I leave the room, dipping with sweat and smiling! It's one of my favorite workouts of the week. Give it a try!
3. And lastly...this might not come as a complete shock, I won the Home Ec award in high school! I have such great memories of high school, in my small town of Tolland, Connecticut. Cooking in those mock kitchen stations. I always cooked so well, that everyone wanted to be my partner, only to get a good grade, and maybe have a little fun too! At home, I cooked and baked with my mom, helping her with meals and experimented in the kitchen making yummy, fresh baked goods. I still enjoy testing new recipes, and creating a meal to share with friends and family.
And the nominations go to....five, very talented women bloggers

Love it! My husband would be so jealous of your flying skills. He flies RC planes and is basically addicted. Where did you live in CT? I lived in North Haven and Hamden for awhile because I went to college in the area. Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Erin, thanks! Flying is the best rush! I lived right outside of Hartford, in the small town of Tolland. New England is beautiful, especially this time of year. Hope you are well!! miss you!
