Found a little love on the sidewalk the other day...it stopped me in my tracks! Sometimes it's the simple things that can bring us peace and joy. Another new love is this refreshing papaya smoothie.
Ever since I finished reading 'The Blood Sugar Solution' by Dr. Mark Hyman I've been trying to add more anti-inflammatory foods into my diet. Papaya is on that list.
I cut it into chunks and froze it for future smoothies. Then I've been trying all different versions and seeing what tastes the best and has the most nutritional value. I've also heard that Trader Joe's sells frozen papaya chunks that are peeled and cubed for ready to go smoothies. I'll have to check it out.
Always hiding some greens (spinach) in there to get more in everyday.
Then I went tropical...pineapple.
Light green and sweet.
Recipe still needs some tweaking, but will be posted soon. I've been super busy with lots of workouts.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Aw!!! I'll miss you too Lynda! I hope that you have a wonderful time, and I look forward to reading everyone's recaps. This smoothie sounds great. I am just sitting here drinking a boring one with banana and kale right now.
